Experience Iceland
South ICELAND
Blue Lagoon
This is a wonderful way to start your amazing vacation in a car rental in Iceland from Golden Circle cars just a 25 minutes’ drive from Keflavik airport. The Blue Lagoon is surrounded by a mossy green lava field, the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is a truly otherworldly experience. The lagoon is indeed blue with a floor covered in silica mud and has the temperature of averaging 37-39° (98-102 F°) which is incredibly healing and soothing for the skin. Now a luxurious spa and Hotel, the Blue Lagoon is a glorious destination that still retains its beautiful natural atmosphere and surroundings.
Golden Circle
The Golden Circle is a driving route in Iceland that connects three of the countries most visited sites. As the name implies, the route is circular and starts and ends in Reykjavik city. Starting in Reykjavik is that it is quite easy to navigate. You can pick up your car rental right at the Keflavik airport and be straight on your amazing adventure in Iceland’s most visited place.
The Golden Circle got its name from Gullfoss Falls, which translates to the golden waterfall (Gullfoss). On a sunny day, the waterfall appears a goldish brown color and that is how it got its name from. The waterfall and the surroundings are immensely popular as it is very well maintained throughout the year, even in the winter.
The best thing about renting a car with the car hire Golden Circle cars and driving the Golden Circle that it only takes a day to drive the Golden Circle you will not need to travel long distances between the attractions.
Seljalandsfoss
Seljalandsfoss is one most spectacular natural wonder in Iceland and like the waterfall Skógarfoss it is a wonderful feeling standing next to it and the most amazing experience is walking behind it. So, when going to the Skogarfoss bring a raincoat and watch your equipment.
Skógarfoss
The spectacular Skógafoss waterfall in the southern Iceland is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and the width of 25 meters, and you can walk right up to the waterfall but keep in mind you can be drenched. It is an overwhelming experience standing next to it.
Þakgil
A beautiful place in south of Iceland near Vík í mýrdal. The mysterious rocks-canyons and the scenery driving to Þakgil is spectacular. We recommend only going on this rout on a 4×4 car rental.
Jökulárslón (Glacier lagoon)
Jökulsárlón is a glacial lagoon, bordering Vatnajökull National Park in southeastern Iceland. Its still, blue waters are dotted with icebergs from the surrounding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier, part of larger Vatnajökull Glacier. The Glacier Lagoon flows through a short waterway into the Atlantic Ocean, leaving chunks of ice on a black sand beach. In winter, the fish-filled lagoon hosts hundreds of seals.
